It is so helpful for us -- some of "the" adoptive parents you mentioned -- to read about some of the realities once you get home. We'll hopefully be traveling to get our son in the next 1-2 months, and it can be really easy to be all focused on the details of what we should do while we're there, etc. and forget about preparing for once he's here. sort of like preparing for a wedding but not the marriage, i guess!
